Chemical Dependency Support & Assessment

Multi-Family Therapy Groups
Participants are invited to attend with family members, or significant others who are a support to you in your recovery. Specialized Skills Groups
Learn and practice techniques to increase coping strategies, build self-esteem, improve communication skills and enhance your ability to identify, regulate and express emotions. Themes include ways to heal from past trauma while working toward building healthy relationships.

Process Groups
In process groups, you will have the opportunity to explore relationships and other underlying issues that may have contributed to the onset or maintenance of your disorder and its symptoms. Emphasis is placed on understanding the meaning of eating and other psychological symptoms, making important connections between interpersonal experiences, emotions, and coping behaviors, and building a sense of identity apart from the eating or mood disorder.
Supported Meal Group
In meal groups, you will eat a well-balanced meal planned and supervised by an Insight dietitian. The nutritional philosophy of Insight emphasizes education about normal eating and the role of good nutrition in a healthy lifestyle. We believe that there are no "good" or "bad" food, our goal is to help you learn how to eat mindfully. Meal groups are intended to challenge individuals to partake in a well-balanced meal group and eat everything provided. All food is catered by the local enterprise Lettuce Entertain You.
